NEON MOON'S WOMEN WEDNESDAY

We love how women are changing the world and making an impact to their home countries that we're talking all things awesome and new every Wednesday!

ICELAND

Iceland elects record number of women and now has “the most equal parliament in the world” with no quota, after 30 women are elected into parliament. World, take note!

UNITED KINGDOM

Natasha Sawkins and Juliet Thomas from Essex, UK, are campaigning to have the derogatory term, ‘Essex Girl,’ removed from the Oxford English Dictionary. They don’t believe it is fair to negatively stereotype women, and neither do we! Good luck girls.

KENYA

World's first Albino beauty pageant held in Kenya. The pageant was designed to celebrate those who lack pigment in their skin, hair and eyes and raise awareness of the widespread persecution of albinos in East Africa. Ten men and ten women modelled the latests styles, whilst using the events a way to petition the government to better respect and recognise their condition. Beauty celebrated is definitely our kinda deal!
