Queen Of The Week 16: With MILLY of selfloveclubb
Posted on 02 October 2017
We're back to introduce our new queen for our "QUEEN OF THE WEEK" segment on the Neon Moon blog.
Each week we will be blessing you with a different queen who is making waves in the feminist world, body positive community and more with 5 questions about her inspirations and dreams to advice.
This week, we interviewed the bad-ass mother, Milly of "selfloveclubb". This queen is such an influential figure in the body positive community. Milly uses Instagram as a platform to share her story as she deals with Mental and Chronic illness, as well as her recovery from an eating disorder and body dysmorphia.
Milly went viral with her "1 pair of tights" Instagram post. In one powerful image, Milly showed the world how a pair of hosiery can transform your figure and distort your body perception. She also runs her own YouTube Channel where she proudly states she is a diet culture drop out and offers advice and help to those who are currently struggling or in recovery. In addition to her social media platforms and influence, Milly is also studying to be a learning disability nurse, and is a mother to her beautiful son. How incredible is this woman who wants to make a positive impact on those around her?
From her viral body positive images, to her incredible story, we absolutely love Milly's contribution to the body positive and recovery communities.

1. What or who inspires your strength?
My biggest inspiration is myself, I'm learning to take pride in my struggles and strength!
My son and my fiancé are also huge inspirations to me, they show me nothing but love.
2. What's the first thing you would buy if you won £1 million?
I'd take myself, my son and my fiancé on a little break to just appreciate one another, we barely get time to just be and just a weekend to think about nothing but ourselves would be wonderful.
3. What's a piece of advice you would give to your younger self?
It's going to be ok!. I would let Milly know that she's not alone, that it's okay to not be like everyone else and that she's stronger than she could ever possibly imagine.
I always felt weak, afraid and ashamed when I was younger and I would definitely correct that! It's okay to be you!
4. What is the big dream for Milly?
I can't wait to qualify as a nurse and finish university but my biggest dream is to live life as happily as I can.
I would love to keep spreading my message and love and maybe write a book in the future but right now I just want to be happy? Appreciative and enjoy life!
5. This is where you can put any question to our amazing supporters and customers. What would you like to know, Milly?
Oooo awesome! Hello guys! Tell me, if you had the big dogs of the media sat in front of you, what would you say to them and why?
