Posted on 04 September 2017
We're back to introduce our new queen for our "QUEEN OF THE WEEK" segment on the Neon Moon blog.
Each week we will be blessing you with a different queen who is making waves in the feminist world, body positive community and more with 5 questions about her inspirations and dreams to advice.
This week we interviewed the self proclaimed fatshionista and bad-ass bo-po warrior, the amazing Jewelz of @jewelzjourney! Jewelz is a plus sized model and body positive activist. To Jewelz, body positivity means that you can accept yourself at any size. Jewelz uses her Instagram to showcase her confident, bad-ass selfies, inspiring all women to learn to love themselves and their bodies. Not to mention she absolutely kills it on the runway! This amazing woman is the founder of the viral hashtag #BigAndBlunt, and here at Neon Moon we absolutely love it! Jewelz continues to push boundaries through her modelling, social media platforms and her #BigAndBlunt movement. How inspiring is this woman?!
From her infectious confidence to her bad-ass mentality, we absolutely adore Jewelz's contribution to the body positive community.

1. What or who inspires you?
What inspires me most is seeing both men and women being themselves and loving their body. What also inspires me is my own strength and looking back on my journey and how far I've come with my body positivity and confidence.
2. What's the first thing you would buy if you won £1 million?
I wouldn't buy anything. I would invest all that money in #bigandblunt and hopefully start a clothing, modelling agency or even a strip club for everyone and all bodies.
3. What's a piece of advice you would give to your younger self?
The number one piece of advice to give to my younger self or anyone struggling with body love is to stop surviving and start living. I would remind myself and others that our bodies aren't the problem, the problem is a society who judges you based on your appearance.
4. What is the big dream for Jewelz?
My big dream is to continue to be a body positive activist and plus size model. I would love to be able to do motivational speaking about self love and body positivity. To be a model, who inspires people to love themselves in magazines and on runways would be a dream. But to see someone who looks like me represented in the media would also be a dream come true.
5. This is where you can put any question to our amazing supporters and customers. What would you like to know?
What does Body Positivity mean to all of you? After being in the community a while, I get all kinds of different answers as to what body positivity means to people, and I'm curious to know what does positivity means to you.
