Queen Of The Week 5: With GINA of Nourish and Eat
Posted on 17 July 2017
We're back to introduce our new queen for our "QUEEN OF THE WEEK" segment on the Neon Moon blog.
Each week we will be blessing you with a different queen who is making waves in the feminist world and body positive community with 5 questions about her inspirations and dreams to advice.
This week we're bringing you self-love enthusiast and recovery warrior Gina of @nourishandeat. We are so incredibly inspired by Gina and her bravery. She aims for her followers to see "the magic in them" with her social media presence doing just that. Gina is a recovering anorexia survivior, curating an Instagram feed of positivity and courage to #embracethesquish. Gina has also created awareness for the NEDA (The National Eating Disorders Association) by collaborating on pins that promote the "embracethesquish" hashtag and donating 50% of every sale to the NEDA. How amazing is that?!
From Gina's work for the NEDA, to her road to recovery, we admire her for her contribution to the body positive and recovery community.
Are you in admiration of Gina, just like us at Neon Moon? Read on for 5 questions with Gina. You're so brave, babe!

1. What or who inspires you?
People who let their magic move them. People who aren't afraid of criticism, but still act with kindness. More specifically, my good friend Iskra (@iskra) who is one of the kindest people I know; my friend Demi (@ddlovato) who lives her recovery fiercely in unforgiving circumstance; my friend Sarah (@sarahsapora) who teaches me every day how to live my journey; Megan (@bodyposipanda) who has been with me in my own recovery since the very beginning.
2. What's the first thing you would buy if you won £1 million?
Honestly? Probably an Hermes Constance Sombrero 😂 But then I'd get that out of my system and donate a large portion to animal rescues, and invest the rest.
3. What's a piece of advice you would give to your younger self?
You're good, boo, don't worry about that boy, don't worry about them, just be YOU. Weird is beautiful, too.
4. What is the big dream for Gina?
I'd really really love to have a column in a publication, like Teen Vogue or Cosmo or Seventeen or Allure or something like that ... I want to help girls and women discover their magic.
5. This is where you can put any question to our amazing supporters and customers. What would you like to know, Gina?
I want to know: when was your turning-point of self love? Was there a moment where you decided, f**k it, I'm sick of hating myself?
You've heard it lovelies, let us know in the comments section when your turning-point of self love was.
Wear your crown with your head held high.
