We love a bit of positive news here at Neon Moon, and this story really gives us hope for the world we live in.
Cyntoia Denise Brown, a woman and sex-traffic victim serving a life sentence for killing the man who bought her for sex when she was 16 years old, has been granted clemency, the Tennessee governor's office has stated.
Cyntoia has served 15 years in prison, and will now be released in August 2019.
Having endured exploitation and abuse, we cannot be happier that the world's attention to this case has led to her freedom.
In a statement released by Ms Browns lawyers, she thanked the judge for "giving me a second chance".
